Preseason Update: I prevailed 10 – 3
Yes. I did well yesterday. I hit the YMCA and the stepper for over a half hour. I met my Game Day Objective and therefore scored a big fat TD. I did enjoy a couple Miller Lite beers so in that regards I gave up a measly field goal. I still have today to go, but the way it is looking, I practically have to kneel on the ball to finish off Week 1, Preseason, of The Football Fan’s Diet.
Yes, I am getting cocky. I am getting a swagger. I just have to make sure I don’t get ‘swagger jacked’
Now for some football talk. I think you will come to find my predictions on this year’s NFL playoffs to come true. Okay, I have no idea. I did suspect that Indy was due for a letdown. For the same reasons that Indy lost to San Diego, I don’t want to play Baltimore.
Division rivals show no fear in the NFL. When division rivals play, oftentimes it is like the records get tossed out the window. This has been the case now for some time with Baltimore and my beloved Steelers.
Now, that is the same reason I look at the weeks ahead with some trepidation. After all, it is like playing my division rival. Fat is my Baltimore Ravens. I have given Fat the beat down the past week, but I know it is not afraid of me. Therein I need to elevate my war with fat to that of what once was a great rivalry but no longer is: The Steelers versus The Pathetic Browns.
The Steelers smash The Browns like clockwork. In fact, when the Steelers drubbed the Browns 31 – 0 in the final week of regular seasons, the whole management staff was fired as a result. You can’t ask for a more complete ass kicking.
That is exactly what I want to do to my inter-division rival: Fat.
On that note, as I write this, we should see if Baltimore will prevail today. I think Miami will win. You read it here! Now, will I win my game this week? Hey, I have had to kneel on the ball before and next thing you know my alter ego is rumbling 90 yards for a score. Sometimes you fumble and it can turn in a second. But, sometimes, you plow right throw and score a TD. That’s what I did yesterday, which already means my health effort this year has lasted longer than it did in 08′. On that note – have fun. Enjoy the playoffs!
